The Affordable Art Fair 2017
A whole year has swung around and it’s another upcoming Affordable Art Fair
in Battersea. This year, I am truly excited to be exhibiting on a larger stand (B5,
which is in the first isle to the right as you enter the fair with Pieroni
Contemporary Art) with some expressive and colourful new mixed media
artworks in a series called The Fragile World.
In these works, (originals and prints), I’m exploring the delicate and not so easy
equilibrium which exists between nature and all we demand from it. A series of
orbs which contain a cocktail of the inanimate and animate which juggle for a
place and survival in this crazy and beautiful planet of ours.
Those of you who know my work well will not be surprised to see more
majestic and endangered wild animals, which this year include several
fabulous Cheetah. The Cheetah has made it onto the critical list as this
beautiful and shy big cat struggles to maintain it’s wild roaming in habitats being
gobbled up by ever increasing industrialisation and farming, climate change and
pollution. I aim to capture images of these amazing animals in a way which is
provocative and contemporary, but also celebrates their eye-popping beauty and
