My art explores the delicate balance between (my) human imprint and the natural world.  Environments and life juxtaposed with a cycle of time; decomposition or decay, rebirth and abundance, imbalance and equilibrium. I explore emotion and energy, meshing memory and things felt with something chanced upon or noticed around me. A walk, a conversation, storytelling, a microcosm captured of something much larger seen and experienced. Captured and sandwiched firmly between layers of drawing and intuitive abstraction and colour.
